-Submission Policies-

Would you like to create artwork or write for Marvel: Redux?

Well if you're reading this then chances are you're at least some what interested. Marvel: Redux is a fan-fiction site, set in the Marvel Universe slightly after Marvel's Civil War (for information on Marvel's Civil War view their wiki). Slightly after the fighting had ended Captain America had been arrested. Shortly after being taken into custody however, an assassin's bullet took his life. It is from this point forward the the Marvel: Redux Universe exists, begging the question, "What If...Captain America had never been assassinated?!"

What direction would the Marvel Universe had gone? Would the Skrull Invasion still occur? Would Asgard have fallen? Would Deadpool have taken up wedding photography for part-time income?

This is where you come in! This is your chance to tell Marvel what you would have liked to have seen happened. This is your chance to write your own Marvel story!

***WRITERS***

All issues of each title are written in 12-24 page short story format (or roughly 3,000 to 6,000 words).

All titles are written on a first-come, first-serve basis. Meaning that if you wish to write Wolverine and someone else has chosen to write the Wolverine comic already, sorry, you're out of luck, you'll have to write a different comic. A list of current comics being written in the Marvel: Redux Universe can be found on the main forum page.

What do we look for in a writer? Do you have to be a professional? Are only aspiring writers allowed in?

Anyone can write for Marvel: Redux. We have aspiring writers, writers who have worked professionally on both big and small projects in the comic book industry, and even some artists trying their hand for the first time at writing.

An actual submission for writing need not be sent in. Instead simply write a short, but clear, message to the Admin of the Marvel: Redux page, introducing yourself, what comic you would like to write, and your intentions for how long (how many "issues") of the comic you plan to write. Please allow 5 to 7 days for a reply, as we do have actual lives (yes comic book geeks do have lives, contrary to popular belief) outside of the Marvel: Redux Universe.

If you wish to write, remember, the internet is a BIG place. You may have only 1 or 2 people read your work. Then again it's also possible that you may have someone important read your work, which could potentially lead to an actual job writing a comic (be it for Marvel, their Distinguished Competion, or a smaller indy company). You just never know. So be sure to use proper grammar, correct spelling, and good punctuation.

***ARTISTS***

While we are not really looking for artists, we certainly won't turn any away either. Some writers like to have artists do a few illustrations for their stories. If you're an artist and would like to hook up with a writer, the easiest way is to illustrate their story. We do not look for full sequential pages for artwork. These stories are short stories (so as to appeal to the reader who some how stumbled into this unknown corner of the internet), so concentrate on splash images as an illustrated story-book would have. Both color and black and white art accepted. Simple .jpgs at 72 -100 dpi will suffice as this is solely a digital project and is not meant in any way for print. Please allow 5 to 7 days for a response.

A few things artists should keep in mind. You never know who may stumble across this site. You did after all, so anyone else could just as easily. If you plan to have your work shown here, make sure it's your best stuff. Concentrate on good anatomy, perspective, line weight, color theory, and composition. Crating solid looking artwork takes a lot of time, practice, and dedication. So be sure to put your best foot forward when putting your work out there for the masses to consume.

***PAYMENT***

We do NOT offer any sort of compensation at all. We are NOT a publisher. We are NOT a business. We are comic book fans who want to tell stories of some of our favorite Marvel characters is all. If you are looking for compensation, the best place you can look are on forums and group pages on Facebook that are geared specifically for drawing actual comic books for actual publishers. However if you're just looking for a place to get a little more exposure (no, we do not claim you'll be noticed by anyone important, however you never know), then this is the place for you.

To submit, simply contact the Administrator of the Forums or a Moderator with a link to some of your artwork.

Best of luck. Hope to hear from you soon.
